Ampersand Day is a big deal at Emory & Henry College.

It's a day full of excitement, curiosity, collaboration, learning, friends, and fun!

Picture it.

You're on campus, surrounded by both current and prospective students, faculty and staff, community members, academics, employers, etc.

Everyone is swarming around from activity to activity just as a Wasp (our mascot) would.

They are excited to see all of the projects on display, showcasing the work of students.

From lectures to live experiments to theatre performances ... and everything in between ... students are overly excited to share their work to curious attendees.

Grace Notes was no exception.

Alike all of the other presentations and activities presented by the smart and talented students, Grace Notes had worked on this ALL semester... We were thrilled to share our work with others... and there's even an academic perspective to the ensemble (especially for our music and music education majors).

That's why when we were invited my the Director of Alumni Affairs, Alumni, and Advancement (Monica Hoel) invited us to perform at the Ampersand Day luncheon (in front of the President of the College, the College Provost, members of the Board of Trustees, and other distinguished guests), to say we were ecstatic would be an understatement.

This first performance for the ensemble was so special, as we performed "Run to You," a piece that is so near and dear to our hearts. We couldn't imagine a better first performance!

We'll be right Bach,

Grace Notes
